How can we help children be more resilient & better prepared for the transition to Secondary School?
Our Transition Workshops for Year 6 children are in an environment where they will feel safe & validated & where everyone is listened to. We address the worries they may have about moving to Secondary School & provide coping mechanisms for difficult situations that may arise.
The course includes:
Understanding anxiety and worry & how to cope
Self security - mental & physical health
Self-esteem & confidence - personal strengths, talents, interests & successes
Awareness of personal space
Passive, aggressive & assertive body language
How to feel assertive
When it comes to children’s mental health, prevention is better than cure. Preparing them for this significant change will also help them with the many other challenges they will inevitably face in life.
There will be 2 experienced martial arts Instructors, fully trained in self protection. They are advanced DBS checked & have Pediatric 1st Aid.
