Code of Conduct for Parents / Carers
At Samurai Kickboxing, we’re dedicated to creating a positive, supportive and safe environment where every child can develop discipline, confidence and a love for the sport. To help us achieve this, we kindly ask all parents and carers to follow these guidelines:
-
Encourage Fair Play and Respect:
Inspire your child to learn and abide by the rules of our Kickboxing class. Promote fair play and discourage any behavior that might lead to unfair play or arguments during classes, Gradings or Tournaments. -
Celebrate Effort Over Outcome:
Help your child recognise and value good performance, not just the final results. Praise their hard work, progress and determination rather than focusing solely on wins or losses. -
Support Voluntary Participation:
Never force your child to participate in Kickboxing. Encourage them to embrace the sport at their own pace, ensuring they always feel comfortable and enthusiastic about learning. -
Lead by Positive Example:
Set a good example by applauding all good performances, whether it’s your child or another student. Your positive reinforcement helps build a community of respect and encouragement. -
Offer Constructive Feedback:
Refrain from public criticism or belittling when mistakes are made. Instead, support your child in learning from their errors and building resilience. -
Trust Our Instructors:
Publicly accept and support the judgment of our Instructors. Their expertise and commitment to safety and development are key to your child’s success. -
Communicate Respectfully:
Use positive, appropriate language at all times, both in person and on social media, to foster a respectful and welcoming atmosphere for all. -
Encourage Responsibility:
Guide your child to take ownership of their performance and behaviour. Helping them understand personal responsibility is an essential part of their growth both in and out of the class.
By adhering to these principles, you play a vital role in ensuring that our classes remain a safe and enriching environment where every child can thrive. Thank you for your cooperation and for supporting our mission at Samurai Kickboxing.
